Tom Rieger, Library of Congress, will discuss current challenges and opportunities with digitizing: out with the old school technologies, standards, and guidelines, and in with the new: FADGI, M-19-21, and ISO 19264.
Thomas Rieger is the Manager of Digitization Services within the Digital Services Directorate, Digital Collections Management and Services Division of the U.S. Library of Congress; Manager of the Federal Agencies Digital Guidelines Initiative Still Image Working Group; and a member of the American National Standards Institute and ISO TC-42. Tom is a 1974 graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology.
