In this session, you will: learn to recognize, define and describe Orphaned, Legacy, and Dormant information within your organization; review basic principles for reducing the accumulation of inactive information; and be able to apply a risk assessment, decision-making approach to disposition of inactive information.
Our Speaker: Wendy McLain, MLIS, CRM has 30+ years of experience developing and improving RIM/IG programs within the government, healthcare, engineering, and energy sectors. Wendy believes experienced professionals have a duty to give back through volunteerism and mentoring. Her service to the RIM profession spans local and international roles including the Institute of Certified Records Managers Board of Regents (2012-18), the ARMA International Board of Directors (2019-present), and the ARMA International Educational Foundation (2023-present). She is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Professional Practice in the School of Information Studies at Louisiana State University.
